This chimed in very synchronistically for me as I have been reminded, (through reading an email from Maya Shetreat) of a decision I made at the age of around 7 that I was going to be helpful. It brought up tears as I realised that it was a way to be noticed and appreciated, and just being myself didn't seem to be enough. I think over 50 years later I'm still living that script.
