I have 100 posts on Substack.
To date, this is the most constant I have been about my writing ever since I discovered I want to write.
I am so happy and I really like my Substack, the way it looks, what it contains, that it is created after my own image.
I am grateful to all those that spend time reading my thoughts and creations, and I hope I bring a bit of joy and support.
Writing my Substack has helped me grow a lot and I can truly say that I have become a better and more confident writer.
And!
And, very important, I am discovering the joy of writing.
For the longest time I associated writing with suffering, with pain, with unhappiness, but recently I am starting to discover the joy of creation, of building little blocks of ideas and then merging them together to create a story.
I think this strange association between writing and pain comes from the books I was reading during my development period when all the great writers were tormented men, damned geniuses and writing itself was a curse, a burden to survive to.
Time’s a changing!
I now read loads of amazing female writers, so I no longer associate great writing just with men. Of course, I love reading great male writers, but it is great to also have access to so many talented female authors and learn from their writing and their point of view.
I can truly say I love my writing now and I am working to learn about it and hone my craft.
I love this word, my craft, it has so many great implications!
That being said, thank you for reading my Substack, I am grateful for your time!
It's a promising start.
congratulations!
